SpiffyCorners

spiffycorners.pngI found this site the other day and love the concept of using code — CSS — to make rounded corners. Nice work. It will solve several code and workflow issues for me.

Treehugger.com - great site

Treehugger.com

Treehugger.com is simply a great site - both in terms of design and content. I find it easy to navigate, easy to find what I need, and full of compelling and useful content. Tough to top that combo in a website.

They stay true to their audience, as well. The stories are well conceived and the writing is polished. Functionality abounds on the website to make it easy to navigate and search.

Well done!

New Template for The Design Mission

Dimensions from RocketTheme.com

I liked the new RocketTheme for this month so much that I installed it on The Design Mission late last night and early this morning. Some slick features, and some content that still needs to be moved about or axed here. I need to update the work samples and the whole information architecture in use. Still, for an hour’s work, I’m very happy with the new look.

I also want to upgrade a few of the components in use here, including this one. MojoBlog appears to be a good blog tool for Joomla.

Guy Kawasaki Rules!

My former boss sent me a link to this site today —
http://blog.guykawasaki.com/2007/01/the_top_ten_stu.html

Having given my boss a copy of one of Guy’s books - Rules for Revolutionaries - I was of course immediately sucked into his blog, too. What a great mind! Guy Kawasaki gets it and says it right. He reminds me of Richard Feynman.

A very cool entry above — will need to look at some of the others more carefully, too.

Web 2.0

A friend of mine, Alle Schilstra of Wefan.be, sent me a link to this site awhile back –>

Web Design From Scratch

What a great article! Well, at least I find it to be on target. On their list of “Hotties” is Linked in which is one of my favorite sites for usability as well.

A great article.

Also fun, and developer orieneted is this oldie but goodie –>

Everyone who has had to deal with a bad client or felt just grumpy while responding to one should see this quick video. It’ll lighten your day.
