What We Do Open Source Projects Zen Cart
|
Zen Cart started as a fork of the osCommerce project and we tried it early on and, well, didn't like it. However, much has changed since then and we would now recommend Zen Cart as an excellent choice for many of our clients.
"Zen Cart™ truly is the art of e-commerce; a free, user-friendly, open source shopping cart system. The software is being developed by group of like-minded shop owners, programmers, designers, and consultants that think e-commerce could be and should be done differently." - Zen-Cart.com
Some of the 'out-of-the-box' features of Zen Cart include:
- Multiple customer modes
- Unlimited category depth
- Multiple sales and discount methods
- A template driven design for easy updates and look and feel modification
- Unlimited 'extra pages' for details about your company or organization
- Multiple shipping and payment options
- Discount coupons, gift certificates and more
Zen Cart, while similar to osCommerce, has a great deal of features that the current stock version of osCommerce simply lacks. For many of our customers, Zen Cart is a perfect fit.

Testimonials
"Over the past several years that I’ve worked with Drew in varying
capacities – including as my professor, project manager and colleague –
he’s always shown me to be tireless in his work ethic, dedicated to the
project at hand, and excellent in client relations and staff
training/orientation. Drew is not afraid to adopt new technologies or
explore unfamiliar territory. In fact, Drew welcomes these
opportunities.
Drew is always looking for ways to make systems,
processes and workflows more streamlined, logical and user-friendly
than the way he found them. Drew is an excellent and patient teacher
and mentor. His approach to co-workers, counterparts and people in
general is one that meets each at her or his skill level and degree of
understanding, and then provides them the tools and knowledge needed to
become self-managing. Thanks to Drew, I now have a love affair with
open-source technologies."
